Amorim avslöjar förhoppningar för nya United-backen efter debuten

Ruben Amorim gave his take on Patrick Dorgu’s performance after the defender made his senior debut against Leicester City in the FA Cup.

This 19-year-old fullback just finalized a £25 million switch from Lecce over to Manchester United.

“He will improve a lot,” Amorim mentioned to the official club channel after watching his new signing get minutes at Old Trafford.

Even though he’s naturally a left-sided player (which made his role a bit unexpected), Dorgu played as a right wing-back for the first half before getting subbed at the break.

Stepping onto the pitch makes him only the eighth Danish player in history to represent the club in competitive games.

Scouts had flagged his physicality back in Serie A, largely because he won the second-highest number of ground duels before coming to the Premier League.
